NIZUC Resort & Spa is an award-winning AAA Five Diamond resort located in Cancun, however travelers looking for a relaxing and romantic getaway, are sometimes wary of the location known historically for its robust party scene and your spring breakers. Berk was tasked with educating the audience on the hotel offerings and protecting NIZUC’s value proposition.
As opposed to other hotels in Cancun, NIZUC Resort & Spa is not located in the heart of the hotel zone, but rather on the far edge before the strip begins. In order to ensure we were attracting the right guests the team knew we had to focus on the luxury elements of the property and position the hotel as a true escape. To position the property as a luxury oasis, the team focused on the hotel’s romantic and wellness offerings and secluded location. The team created a media strategy that transported journalists to the destination.
Utilizing top industry trends and the hotel’s many accolades, we positioned the resort as a premiere destination for wellness tourism. In addition, the team focused on promoting the spa, fitness classes and culinary programs to showcase the resort’s versatility in the wellness category. Lastly, we invited the Managing Director to visit New York for a day and organized a media tour to offer him the opportunity to speak directly with top tier consumer and trade media.
